The Little Family braved the odds and set out on a trip to Disney World! It was with some trepidation.... our kids are pretty little, spring break means its crowded and its EXPENSIVE, but we decided to go for it and we are sooooo glad we did.
We got to the park at around 8:30 on Saturday morning and got right in. The first couple of rides we had almost no line for. We started off with "Gumbo, the Flying Elephant", which was one of Jaydan's favorites. We rode lots of rides and he liked them all..... except for Peter Pan. He cried, and tried to escape and then got off of it and said "I HATED that wide" (ha ha). Kennedy rode rides too, and she seemed to love the excitement too!
We took a break at about one and went back to the hotel for lunch and a nap. It did us all good and I absolutely believe it kept our kids from melt
ing down. We hit the park again at dinner time.... we had reservations for a character dinner, which given the fact
that Jaydan had been TERRIFIED of them earlier in the day, I was convinced was going to be a huge waste of money. At first he was timid and the next thing we know he's elbowing his way through the crowd to Piglet! He said he "just decided to be brave". So we ended up getting some great pics!
We saw some of the electric parade but by that time everyone was starting to get tired so we decided to do the Tea Cups and then head for the gates. The Tea Cups was MY favorite and Jaydan and I had so much fun spinning and spinning.... he loved it! And then he stepped off and bit it, because he was too dizzy to walk! Like every good Mama, I rolled laughing!!
Right as we were passing Cinderella's castle on the way out, they started the fireworks so we got to see the whole show as we walked out, but then got right on the Ferry and beat the crowds on the Mass Exodus after than. It was a long, exhausting, completely wonderful day, full of memories for all of us! An extra special guardian angel helped mak
e our trip possible and we are so grateful that we were able to enjoy such a magical day with our babies!

So Big
Kennedy has been grabbing at the spoon now for a week or so when being fed. I often give her an "empty" spoon to play with and continue to feed her. Ms. Heather (the wonder sitter) decided to let her actually try to feed herself (and emailed the pics to me at work!)!

Snowmageddon

The kids and I went to bed on January 9 and woke up the next morning to a Winter Wonderla
nd! I mean REALLY. We got about 8 or 9 inches and for the first time since starting my job, Court was cancelled and State Agencies were CLOSED! Then came a day or so of freezing rain and metro Atlanta pretty much ground to a halt. I ended up being out of work for A WEE
K! The roads were so slick and temps didn't get above freezing until Thursday afternoon. It was all fun and games until about 1/2 way through Tuesday and then the Natives started getting restless. It was nice to be off work, not so nice to literally be home bound for an entire week.
Jaydan had fun playing in the snow for about an hour or so, two different times and then said, "Mama, I'm SICK of the snow". Me too, son. Me too!
Kennedy didn't get to play but she did go out to see it.... she ended up sick that week to, to make matters worse. She didn't seem to mind the extra snuggle time!

Christmas Day
This was THE YEAR for Christmas at The Little House. I have no doubt that I will never forget the joy Jaydan experienced in waking up (at 2:30 a.m.) to discover Santa had indeed made it to our house. There is NOTHING better than experiencing that magic through your baby's eyes.
He wanted a "train with a track" soooooo bad. It was all he could talk about. And Santa delivered. As I mentioned, he woke us up with screams of "Santa brought me a train with a track" and "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT" SUPER early. We didn't mind ;) Daddy got caught up for a minute and thought maybe we should let him open the rest of his gifts right then but we collected ourselves and got a few more hours sleep! It WAS a huge success though and we had to really work to pry him away from it, even to open more gifts!
He also really wanted a gun this year and while I had reservations about it, WE grew up around guns and turned out ok, right? And besides, how could I resist this?
Kennedy was precious too..... she was so happy and patted all of her presents and tried to help open them. So much more easy going than her big brother was at this age!
In the interest of full disclosure, Santa came to our house a day early and all of those festivities took place on the morning of Christmas Eve. The kids and I picked Jeff up at work Christmas Eve night and we set out for his parents house, where we met up with the rest of the family. We enjoyed seeing everyone sooooo much and even Mother Nature got in the Christmas Spirit and sent us some snow in Tallahassee, Florida on Christmas Day! Naturally, the kids got spoiled rotten.... er.... um, actually we ALL did but our favorite gift of all was the time spent with family!

Playing Catch Up
I know, I know.... I'm behind again. Or still behind, whatever. Anyway, here we go.... These are just a few cute random pics from around the Holidays. Not really pertinent, but too cute not to post.
Jaydan is my big helper in the kitchen. And this is what happen when he has too many of our sugary treats!
Sissy is not much help yet, but she sure is cute!
